ZLCONN PDC Hole Opener
PDC hole opener is a reliable solution for hole enlarging in both soft and medium.
The body is machined of a single block of AISI 4145H alloy steel. The unique design of the body ensures maximum strength and durability. It can withstand loads far beyond those involved during normal drilling operations.
The PDC hole opener is designed for use in soft clays and shales to medium-hard shales and limestones and is particularly effective in sticky formations where balling problems are encountered. Jets with replaceable nozzles continuously clean the tool’s cutting structure, clearing debris buildup and increasing penetration.
A range of PDC cutting structures are available for a variety of formation conditions. The fixed-diameter hole opener is available in sizes 6 1/4 to 42 in. Tools for hole several sizes are designed with special blades. The robust design and construction enable drilling of longer intervals.
